I have ridden this route just the once to date but will definitley be back to repeat again. It has some challenging riding with climbs up some steep mountain trails however when you reach the peak the views are breath taking.
The next day you could be working your way through canyons with vultures flying over head but my favourite day by far has to be the last day spent riding you horses along long stretches of sand on your arrival into Santander. I am not sure who enjoyed this more, the horses or the riders!

This trail is amazing!!! The landscapes are incredible and diverse (mountains and canyons, every day the landscape looked different) and the horses are soooo nice. I really enjoyed this week, though it wasn’t always easy or the best weather. The amazing food and hotels cure the hurting butt 🙂 But the most amazing thing (after delicious food, great horses and the landscapes) is definetly the last day. It is so beautiful to canter along the beach, even though afterwards everything is wet and you’re covered in sand and salt.
And the people are so kind and open. You’ll always have something to laugh!
This trail is absolutely worth riding! I’ll always remember this great experience!
Thanks for this amazing trail! 😉
