Day 1

Transfer Madrid – Covarrubias.
Pick up from Madrid Barajas airport MAD and transfer to Covarrubias where we have dinner and ride introduction. Clients recieve their pylgrim passports and maps. Hotel Nuevo Arlanza or Hotel Doña Sancha.

Day 2

San Juan de Ortega – Burgos.
Sunday morning, after breakfast we drive 45 km to our start point – Church of San Juan de Ortega where our trail beginns. We ride 30 km towards Burgos traversing scenic plateau and crossing the river Arlanzon to arrive to Burgos for picnic lunch. In the afternoon after relaxing 45 minute walk we finish our ride, load horses and drive 95km to Calzadilla de la Cueza where we stop for diner and overnight.

Day 3

Calzadilla de Cueza – El Burgo Ranero.
Monday after breakfast we mount and ride 40 km through rural Palencia with its Palomares and “Poor Roman” churches to reach Burgo Ranero. Picnic lunch in Sahagun. After the ride 87km drive to Castrillo de los Polvazares stunning stone maragateria style village where we stay for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Valdeviejas (Astorga) – Foncebadon.
Tuesday after breakfast we mount, leave the Castilian flatness behind and start climbing the mountains of León. Today after 25 km mountanious ride we reach village of Foncebadon where we stay for dinner and overnight if rooms available. We might also descent (22km drive) to a nice hotel in the next village(Molinaseca).

Day 5

Foncebadon – Molinaseca.  
Wednesday after breakfast we start riding towards Molinaseca passing “Cruz de Ferro”, famous point of the Irago Mountain. We march on in slight ascent until the highest point of the camino, 1.151m. Dinner and accommodation: Molinaseca.

Day 6

Ocebreiro – Sarria.
Thursday after breakfast we drive 63km to Ocebreiro land of fog. We mount and ride for 38km passing Celtic castles and mines craved by the romans: infinity of hills, oak and chestnut trees.  Arrive to Sarria and 95km transfer to Santiago.

Day 7

Santiago de Compostella
Friday early morning we mount and ride 10 km to our destination: the Obradoiro square, the monumental centre of Santiago de Compostela. After a short ride back we load horses and enjoy free time to visit Santiago or attend the service. In the afternoon we will drive back to Covarrubias (535km). Dinner and accommodation: Hotel Nuevo Arlanza or Hotel Doña Sancha(Covarrubias).

After breakfast transfer the airport Madrid
